FAQs:

Q: What is demoFLO and why is Device Alive telling me to install it?

A: DemoFLO is an application that works with Device Alive to populate contacts, accounts, content and media on the display phone to show customers how the phone really looks. They are two separate applications that are downloaded from Android Market and installed alongside Device alive. Instructions for doing so are included in the document above. If demoFLO is not installed, Device Alive will prompt you to do so.

Q: When I go to Market to download the application, why does it prompt me to add my Google Account?

A: Android Market requires a Google Account to be set up to access the applications catalog. If you did not set this up as part of the first-time setup of the phone, you can add it now by selecting Register new account.

Q: Why do I keep getting error messages when I try to select Load Videos in setting up the application?

A: This function requires a stable 3G mobile connection or a capable Wi-Fi network to be able to download the video content. Move to a location with strong 3G coverage and try again, or connect to a Wi-Fi Network to complete the download. The application does not require network access once the download is completed.

Q: How come I cannot download Device Alive from Android Market? The screen just says "starting download" but doesn't show any progress and never finishes.

A: This situation will occur when the COU SIM has a download restriction. Since the Device Alive application is downloaded from Android Market, restrictions or blocking will prevent the download process. Please remove the block in order to facilitate download of Device Alive and the associated videos. If for security reasons, you are required to block downloads, you can enact that restriction after the Device Alive application and the Device Alive videos have been loaded.

Q: How do I stop the program from running?

A: The Device Alive application is designed to run continuously, so there is no direct method to shut it down.

Q: How do I restart/repair a phone that is experiencing issues?

A: Power cycling the phone will automatically restart the Device Alive application when the phone starts up

Q: How do I uninstall Device Alive?

A: If you are in the application, select Exit Demo to go to the phone OS, then select HOME, Settings then SD Card & Storage. Go to the Factory Data Reset option and select it, then click on the Reset Phone and Erase Everything options

Q: Why does the virtual keyboard sometimes display on top of the application?

A: This is caused by pressing and holding the HOME or MENU buttons down. The back button on the phone will remove it. Avoid long-pressing these buttons.
